How To Clean Gum From The Carpet?

Little kids are the more notorious people in a house. If you have given a chewing gum to them, you will find gums in their hair, pocket, in the fibers of carpet etc. If you will be extra more careful towards picking it up right away, then no harm is going to be done. If it gets pressed onto the carpet, it will become a frustrating mess. There are several methods to remove gum stain from your rugs. Choose whatever the method that suits you.

Ice

Ice is the more common thing which should be present in each and every household. If you have ice, then start pressing it against the gum. It will result hard and brittle gum which will be very easy to scrape it off by using a knife or fork.

You have to apply a teaspoon of oil to the gum affected area of carpets. After that you need to thoroughly wash it by using carpet cleaning products.

Vinegar

Vinegar is also the natural and household solution for removing gum particles from the fibers of the carpet. You should apply on the gum area and leave it for 15 minutes. After the vinegar particles are getting soaked, you need to scrape it off by using a butter knife. Before applying you need to make a test patch first because sometimes vinegar causes the carpet colorless.

Act Fast
If you will find a nail polish related stain, then you need to act as fast as possible because if you will wait for a long period, then the entire content is getting deposited on the rugs. Therefore you cannot easily remove those dried stains.
Smudge don't rub
When you will find a nail polish related stain on the carpet, at that instant you might be grabbing a paper or clean towel to rub. If you will do the same, then it will lead to push the nail paint content on the floor covering. Instead of doing that, you need to blot the covering. First start from the edges then the entire inward so that the stains cannot spread.
